Who we are

Proudly founded and operated by Meaghan, Pet Porter is a locally owned small business based in Oxley, QLD 4075.

With over 15 years of experience in animal care and rescue, Meaghan is a devoted pet parent and animal lover. Pet Porter was created to support fellow pet guardians who may not have access to a vehicle, or the time, to get their pets where they need to go.

Safe and comfortable transport

Dogs and cats are transported in airline-approved crates, which are securely fastened in the vehicle’s cargo area for maximum stability during travel. Vet bedding (polyester fleece with rubber backing) is supplied to make the journey as comfortable as possible.

Owners are welcome to provide their own crate, but we offer a range of sizes to accommodate most breeds and sizes. Owners are also welcome to include their pet’s bedding, toys, or other comforts, as long as they fit securely in the crate and are safe for travel. Should you wish to supply your own equipment, please advise me when making your booking.

To ensure a comfortable journey, the vehicle’s air and air-conditioning system circulates throughout the cabin and cargo area, maintaining a consistent and pet-friendly climate at all times.

Exotic pets must be transported in secure, species-appropriate enclosures—such as travel cages, tanks, carriers or enclosures — provided by the owner. These can be securely positioned either in the vehicle’s cabin or cargo area using safety straps, depending on size and type.

Local and interstate services

Local Transport Services
Our local service includes both one-way and return trips tailored to your needs. Whether you need your pet collected from home and taken to a vet, groomer, day-care centre, or any other location — and returned home afterwards — I can manage the full journey or just part of it, depending on what suits you best.

Interstate Transport Services
Our interstate service is flexible and designed to support a wide range of transport needs. This may include:

  • Collecting puppies or kittens from breeders

  • Transporting pets to specialist veterinary appointments

  • Assisting rescue organisations with rehoming efforts

  • Supporting wildlife carers and veterinary professionals by transporting patients safely

Dog Park Visits

Pet Porter offers fun and enriching dog park visits for clients located near our home base in Oxley 4075. This service is provided exclusively to clients within a 10km radius of Oxley 4075 and includes a 45-90 minute park session plus door to door pick-up and drop-off.
